About Time to be Me
Why The name
Having spent a significant part of my working life in business consulting I knew that I needed to have something where I could engage with people on a more personal level. I also knew that I wanted to be able to run my own business where I could use my creative skills on more than just well-written board paper. Family time had been reduced to a few days per month when I wasn’t commuting to London or flying across Europe.
Many people who have been to the salon have asked me have you been in beauty for a long time? Well, I think we are all into beauty from probably the age of 3 onwards when we choose our first sparkly headband or like mummy’s nail polish. I think we are all able to learn new skills at any age and I am thoroughly enjoying developing my own portfolio of skills. So this is where TIME to be ME came from as it sums up the courage it took to leave the career I had known for 20 years and to do something for me and my family. I wanted to create an environment where all our guests can be comfortable with who they are and feel that the therapists who provide their treatments care about them individually, unlike many of the faceless big spas where it is just, “next please”!
Anyone no matter age sex ethnicity or people who have special needs will always be welcome.
