How TIME to be ME Is Keeping You Safe During COVID-19

The government has announced that Beauty Salons can reopen from the 13th July as lockdown restrictions ease across the country.

TIME to be ME will reopen on the 14th July and have been carefully reading guidance for Beauty Salons released from central government. In addition, we have been busy behind the scenes talking to you, our customers, to ask you about what you would need to feel safe before returning to the salon. 

First and foremost, we would like to thank you for your participation. Secondly, we have used the results of our extensive client survey to implement a wide range of health and safety procedures to make sure that you can feel at ease when the TIME to be ME salon opens.

Here are the steps we are taking to ensure our beauty salon remains COVID-secure.

Requesting Those Who Feel Unwell to Stay Away

As this is a close-contact environment, we cannot take any unnecessary chances. That’s why we are requesting that customers that feel under the weather in any way shape or form to reschedule their appointment until they feel better. By keeping those who feel under the weather from entering our salon, we can maintain its COVID-secure status.

Restrictions on Some Treatments

Whilst we welcome the government’s announcement, it has emerged that not all forms of beauty treatment have been approved. Treatments such as facial waxing, eyelash treatments, make-up application, and facial treatments will temporarily be suspended until we seek further government advice.

Solo Appointments Only

To comply with government guidelines, we must restrict appointment slots to one person at a time. No matter the nature of the treatment, all attendees must arrive alone with the exception of those who require the presence of a carer. This measure extends to include any children you may have been planning to bring into the salon with you. Alternative arrangements for their care must be made ahead of your arrival unless they are also having treatment. 

Social Distancing

While the government has reduced the social distancing requirements to one-metre-plus, we will be doing everything we can to enable social distancing within our beauty salon. From carrying out treatments to increasing space within waiting areas and treatment rooms, we will endeavor to ensure that there is as much space between individuals as is practical.     

Taking Booking Deposits Upfront

All bookings will require a deposit to secure the appointment. This will be taken from a card of your choice. This practice ensures we can set up for each day correctly and make the necessary accommodations for a slot at your preferred time ahead of time. We will be unable to accept any walk-in appointments.  

Staff PPE

All staff will be equipped with mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE). Masks, gloves, and aprons will be worn by our team members. We also ask that, when you arrive, you wash your hands and maybe required to put on appropriate PPE we provide.

Refrain from Touching Products

Unfortunately, while you may browse products, you will not be able to touch them as the virus can stay active on surfaces for up to 72 hours. Thus, if you would like more information about a specific product, our team will be more than happy to assist you.

Accessing the Salon

We ask that all visitors to our salon pause outside to assess the reception area before entering. If the reception area is too busy to maintain proper social distancing with your inclusion, please wait outside until it is safe to enter.

Finally, remember to book all appointments online or over the phone as we will not have the ability to admit walk-in appointments.
